Six independent episodes. Each has an excerpt from a television program, including

In the four episodes, there are interviews with theater-goers, directors, actors, and
actresses.

Videotaped interviews conducted by John Glad. These tapes are unedited
and some of them contain minor technical flaws produced during recording.

A 98-minute video with a 192-page Video Resource
Manual and a Teaching Resource Manual. The cassette consists of
twelve episodes in which the two main characters, Masha and Dennis, try
to solve a mystery, meeting nine other Russian characters along the way.
Each video episode corresponds to a lesson in the intermediate Russian
textbook, Russian Faces and Voices, but the video can be used with
any textbook. Developed by Leonid B. Shamshin, Zita D. Dabars, and
Ellina Yu. Sosenko, in association with the American Council of Teachers
of Russian and the Center of Russian Language and Culture (CORLAC), Friends
School.

This story takes place in Leningrad. A man invents a robot and teaches him to talk. The robot walks through the city in search of the subway. His inventor searches for the robot and finally finds him.

A family of four takes a vacation to Tallin. Their sightseeing becomes humorous when members of the family get separated.

Where Do You Work?
Nikolai spends his day off fishing and boating. He is confused by the fact that he is addressed by an inquisitive individual who remains out of sight.

Do You Have Any Vacancies?
More than one guest with the name Komarov checks into a hotel. Not knowing to which a telegram is addressed, the clerk reads it to occupants of all the rooms occupied by a Komarov.

A Hearty Appetite
An overweight man is put on a diet and exercise regime by his wife, but he manages to elude her plans. Most of the scenes take place in a restaurant and focus on ordering food. Very amusing.

The Golden Ring
A film crew visits Rostov, Kostroma, and Suzdal in order to film folk ensembles performing in settings dominated by historical monuments. Included in the cast is a lively young girl.
