ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION CRITERIA

 

Participation in the 2007 UIUC Fulbright–Hays Group Project Abroad is subject to eligibility criteria established for all federally subsidized programs. A maximum of 15 participants will be selected for the seminar.

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • US citizen or permanent resident
  • Humanities, language arts, economics, social studies, or Russian language teacher, librarian, or curriculum director at a K-12 school/district in the U.S. (Russian language teachers are especially encouraged to apply.)
  • Those who have participated in a Fulbright-Has Group Projects Abroad (GPA) or Seminars Abroad Program in the last three years (2004-2006) or have participated in two Fulbright-Hays GPA or Seminars Abroad Program in the last 10 years are NOT eligible.

Selection Criteria


Applications will be evaluated based on overall previous performance, level of interest in Russia, and the quality of the curriculum proposal, as reflected in the application statements and the letters of reference. A strong application will explain the contribution of this study program to the applicant’s career and teaching objectives.
