Your Cost::
Because Fulbright-Hays does not cover any expenses in the U.S. and other
incidental expenses in Russia, you will incur some expenses for participating
in the program. We expect the expenses to be approximately $500–700
per person (including the five days in Champaign). Much of this
would depend on the cost of your round trip travel to Champaign for the
pre-departure workshop and your incidentals in Russia.
Once the grant has been approved
and you have been selected, you will be asked to send a payment of $240
(payable to: University of Illinois) for the following expenses
by May 19:
- Russian visa processing (We will use Perry Visa Serivce: www.perryvisa.com;
cost $147)
- Medical insurance, including evacuation insurance for the duration
(This is required and will be processed by the U of I Study Abroad Office;
cost $43)
- Registration fee for the pre-departure curriculum development workshop
($50)
Other Expenses:
- Round-trip travel to and from Champaign-Urbana, IL, for the pre-departure
workshop (REEEC will rent a van to take the group to Chicago O'Hare Airport.)
REEEC does has a very limited travel grant, which could provide small
subsidies. See the workshop
website for details.
- Any living expenses during the pre-departure workshop (Free housing
and two meals will be provided.)
-
Any
medical expenses in Russia not covered by insurance
-
Any
incidental expenses in Russia
-
Expenses
