The Russian Chronicles—1995 / 2005

In 1995, Lisa Dickey and a photojournalist traveled from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg, documenting the lives of ordinary Russians on the "Russian Chronicles," the first comprehensive, real-time web travelogue of its kind.  In 2005, Lisa retraced her steps to track down the people she had interviewed in 1995 and to discover how their lives had changed. The resulting travelogue, "The Russian Chronicles - 10 Years Later," ran for eleven weeks on Washingtonpost.com.

Kostova will also read from the novel, which has already been translated into twenty-eight languages.
